Forest Restoration Training in the Philippines

LRP has learned a lot since it began and we are proud to share our knowledge with those who are interested to learn. Through a partnership with Visayas State University, the Leyte Reforestation Project now holds month long training programs on an annual basis for students enrolled in VSU’s Forestry program.

During their stay at the LRP nursery, Forestry students learn and practice organic native tree farming, Integrated Pest Management, planting site preparation, development and maintenance techniques that ensure newly planted sites grow into robust stands of some of the finest trees the Philippines has to offer. We are honored to maintain the partnership with VSU and it is our privilege to be able to train the next generation who will take care of the planet.
